Do any LH lay glossy white eggs? I have an Andalusian & hers have the pretties gloss to them. She is super flighty even after starting to lay so I'd rather have another LH. My BLH eggs are just a matte white, no sheen.

@moonshiner I really like the Buff! Thanks for your info. I'm totally a newbie to chickens. I have a VERY mixed flock & it's been interesting to see the different breeds & how they act. I'm sure a lot is personality of each bird too. Good to hear about leghorns from someone who has been around...

@moonshiner I love all your varieties Have you noticed if any particular kind is calmer than the normal "flightiness" of leghorns? My girl has really calmed since she started laying, but is still skittish. I have a SCB (hatchery) She has done well, though

@cmom Mrs. Patmore is super fast & really watches out for the others too. We have hawks but my birds are still pretty young and I haven't let them out to free range much. I have cover over the run. I'll take that into consideration if I want to get a white. Thanks

@cmom I'm kinda afraid to get any whites. Do you think they're more visible to predators? I've stuck with browns/darker colors across the board pretty much. I have a mixer of 8 different birds. First flock too Proud feather momma

Th This is my flighty MRS. PATMORE (which is a perfect name for her as it turned out) she squawks & warns of all apparent dangers. She's about 18 weeks old
