the decrowing has occurred my rooster is recovering but challenged with labored breathing I attribute to pain and his comb and woddles are raspberry red I have given meloxicam and buprenex anything else I should do?.. he seems very distressed. subq fluids ???

I 've been in the veterinary industry for 23 years I'm a nurse I work with small animal practice doctors and no one was willing to do the surgery finally I found a surgeon who is willing to try it who only did it 25 years ago ....but I would agree if you cant afford the vet you should not have pets.

I work in a vet hosp small animal but hav no one to give me advise on decrowing or actually doing the procedure...I have a beautiful 8 mos old frizzled rooster that needs to be quieted ...do you have a link to show how the procedure is done? greatly appreciated
