Congrats!!
I learned a lot during my first incubation process. It was exciting, yet painful.
Final count 7 out of 9. They all
Have yellow dots on their heads and 2 are little miracles.
My second day of hatching was hard. I had one that unfortunately had a shell from another hatched chick...
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been absent. I broke my foot Friday. My 1 & 2 week old babies are doing great and I went on lockdown last night for my 9 eggs. Bumped up humidity and heat has been steady. We should see some pipping any day now!
How exciting! I can't wait to see photos of them all!

I am in Washington state. on the Key Pennisulla. I have a small preservation farm for chickens on the conservation list. I have 34 breeds and about 700 birds, last time I counted.. I have a Sizzle broody that is sitting on a doz Serama eggs for me. shes adorable, allmost no signs of being...
I canceled mine today that went in on 8/12. 2 were Yolkers, a few were obviously going strong, but I have a few that I'm still questioning. There's an air cell, but the egg had a lot of calcium in it, plus the egg is a darker brown. It's really hard to see any blood lines. I'm hopeful tho!

I would have zero issues with paying that for quality birds. I'd love to have silkies, but we're in Indiana and I don't know much about their cold tolerability.
This is what momma has been doing all morning, not wanting to sit at all. This is my week old baby and I think it's a "he". He's feathering out and his comb is protruding sooner than a pullet.
