    thanks for asking I am really torn.. about what to do.. I have 8 hens... 4 orpingtons 2 austrolorpes 1 ee and 1 silkie the two kids that turned out to be roos are silkies.. and I thought well, silkies are sweet and won't be aggressive.. but the two roos are facing off a lot.. and...

    I think I am going to put Lawrence on Craig's list. He is being kind a poop to my orpingtons that outweigh him.. Like a little guy with a big chip on his shoulder... we just can't eat him.. Lawrence is the brunette in the middle :) anyone want him?

    Liz is now Lawrence started crowing this morning. About 8 weeks old. I think his fellow silkie is a roo too. All my other girls are bug breeds austrolorpe orpingtons and an ee. So I'll guess I will see if they all get along. Any advice on mixed flocks and small Roos?

    junebugga- I was wondering I have 3 opringtons and 2 australorpes who are 4 weeks.. at this stage they are all feathering in pretty well... Three of them have little tails and one is not really showing much of a tail.. is that a thing? I wish I had a pic- the suspect looks the same in all...

    I had the same question about the "tennis balls" my orpis are a bit late laying too :) Husband keeps calling them freeloaders.. lots of chicken shaming..
