Injured goose

This poor goose has a brooken leg Im not sure what happpened to him. I have a friend with the Providence waterfowl wildlife game Preserve that will take him to a vet. But hes huge and still hard to catc. Ive tried all week. I dont have a net big enough and he wont come out of the water. He can swim but only with one leg and only comes just short of the bank of the lake. Hes friendly enough to get close but swims if I get close. The other geese of his breed has Abanded him. Anybody got any Suggestions Thank you very much

Where is this goose? Do you own him or was he abandoned at the lake?
