It's the black inside the feather that is pointed. The feather doesn't stop at the black point. The feathers are edged in the base color, not the black. Ignore the pattern and look at the feather shape. They are rounded, it's just hard to see.Ok, Jenny and Claire, the other BA are staying and neither are Jersey Giants. I can see the bottoms of their feet really easy now.
So my next question is about my EE girl. She has pointy feathers at the base of her neck but none near the tail. She certainly doesn't have a comb or wattles yet. A hen also? Her name is Mandy.
