I think Buff, Blue and lavender Americans are the smallest domestic geese I could be wrong there too. and have nice personalities. Yes a goose will still go broody even with out a gander. Just in their makeup to reproduce. lolWell, I would like to get a gander but I don't want there to be issues with the kids. Would it be ok to get two geese? And will a goose still be broody with out a gander like hens do with out a rooster? Out of curiosity are there any bantam geese? Thank you so very much for all your help
2 female geese would be fine together and as long as you keep your gander from interacting with your kids during breeding season a gander is a joy to have i love both of mine but they can be a handful come breeding, laying and raising goslings which takes up about half the year. My 2 youngest were 1 yr old end of May this year and my gander still acts protective of them.
