I bought both kinds this year and they turned out to be the same size. Since I bought mine from a store, perhaps they just labeled them wrong? Most of mine turned out to be roos so I'm in need of some more girls. I was thinking about ordering sex'd chickens but they only have standard polish sizes in the colors I want.

So my question is.. how much bigger are the standard polish from the bantams? How do I know which ones I truly have??

thanks!

It can be hard. However, a good quality polish bantam should be half the size of a standard but a similar shape. Early crosses to create them may lead to a different shape, however. If they are the same size, they may have just been of poor quality, or it may have been a mix up.

Bantam chicks are smaller then standard, but the difference becomes more pronounced with age.
