I have a silkie that was sitting on two eggs one hatched two days ago and now the other has pipped but she has left the nest with the new baby can I stick the pipped egg under another broody till it hatches? I live in Florida so the humidity is usually pretty high but today it's only about 50%. I know that if my new chicken won't take the next hatched egg that I can give it to my other Rudy Soakie along with the other baby so that their lease race together but should I keep it under my other silky right now and try and integrated in with the mother and the new baby

Yes. You can put the unhatched egg under another broody and return it to the original hen when it is ready. You can also take the chick that is hatched and keep it under a heat lamp until the second chick hatches and then return the first chick. Usually the hen will go back to brooding when the first chick/s are removed. Which ever works best for you. Good luck.

I put mama and baby in the nest box last night and put the egg back under her and this morning had another fluffy butt
