So I have a few acres of orange groves in my back yard and a lot of property that black widows call home.. lately they have been taking over everything around the house! I cant even leave my boots on the back stairs for 3 days before theres the hair like web going to them.. does anyone have any spider control tips besides the regular gallon sprays you can buy at the local home improvement stores?

Get the chickens to eat them. They totally love them.

Many years ago, we had a litter of kittens in the basement. The basement was home to many brown recluse spiders that we had to deal with regularly. When the kittens were all re-homed, the basement was over ran with the remaining fleas. We let off 2 flea bombs, purchased at wal-mart. The bombs either killed the spiders or ran them off because we did not see spiders anywhere in the house for many months, so we still use this technique today when spiders run rampant. This was an enclosed area, so not sure if it would be effective in a grove, but maybe an enclosed porch area.

You can get those Bombs for Spiders n Moths as well as other critters. They work as well, I can even get them here n have used them in the past. I'm about to order some more to sort out the moth problem in the house, its over 200 yrs old with 4 ft thick stone walls so between moth n spiders there are a lot here.
