So annoyed with myself.

I have been running perfectly with my temps and humidity for 18 days. I took the turner out last night, candled a couple, looked good, laid down some paper towels on the wire, closed them back up for lockdown. Like a dope, went to bed without checking that the temp had regulated itself. I went in late AM and noticed it was about 5 degrees cooler than it should be, and could have kicked my own butt!

Anyone have any similar experiences that can give me some hope??

Don't worry! Eggs can handle temperature drops much better than heat spikes, and they're probably all fine. They might be a little late, but you probably didn't hurt them at all.

At this point the chicks themselves are producing some body heat and they are developed so as long as the temp has been accurate up to lockdown, you should be pretty good. I've seen people loose power for a whole day half way through incubation and still have decent hatches. When you take out the automatic turners you usually do have to adjust heat (if you aren't using an incubator with a thermostat) because the turner motors give off a good amount of heat themselves.
So I agree, you should be fine.
