best chicken types.

I'm guessing you are talking about the difference between egg type, meat type or dual purpose.
If you are talking breed that is a much different question.

If it is type, I like both dual purpose and egg type. Egg types are usually better producers. With dual purpose birds, you get egg layers that also have enough meat that make it worthwhile to eat all extra roosters.

thank you I was talking about just what is you favorite type for egg laying and just as a good looking and good with people not bullying other birds breed.

So you are talking about the breed. My favorite egg type breeds are Minorcas, Anconas, Leghorns Jaerhons and Penedesencas.
My favorite DP breeds are Jersey Giants, Welsummers, Orps, Javas and Rocks.
If in their own flock, Rhode Island Reds are a good breed.

Hi! Welcome!

When choosing your chicken breeds, think about your space, your climate and what you would like from your chickens in the way of personality, egg production, size, color etc. You wouldn't want to put a more bully flighty breed in with a calm docile breed. So many great choices! Enjoy!
Here's a great thread that discusses the various breed characteristics.
