I've butchered Cochin bantam roosters, and hens that stop laying. Really good meat (Tasty). Not to much different from Cornish game hens, just a bit smaller. Very good eating.

Depends on the breed. Usually less than half a pound. I think my Cornish bantams (probably the stockist one you can get) was right at that 1/2-2/3 markI have the opportunity to get a bunch of free bantam roosters that are 11 weeks old. I'm talking like 100+. I feed my dogs a raw food diet and think this would be the perfect opportunity to put a bunch of meat in the freezer for them. I don't want to pluck, so I will be freezing them with their organs minus the guts.
What does a bantam weigh out at when 11 weeks old?
Thanks in advance.

Not bad. I don't use a scale, I just hand weigh, so my guesstimates are rarely accurateYour previous posts convinced me to try some bantam cornish from ideal. Mine are at 10.5 weeks. Not sure about the smaller ones yet, but one of the larger males I just weighed in at 1lb 12oz.
