well didn't get meatloaf got to involved in the threads. so I made hamburgers instead . meatloaf tomorrow night . I miss my mother although my kids never liked country cooking . so I have cook things they will eat. one loves meatloaf the other hates it .so I cook something else for him .
I wont cook extra for those who don't eat most times unless its liverpudding or beef tongue or something odd, after the age of 6 I stop forcing them to eat what I make. It they dont eat what
i make they can decide not to eat or make their own food but snacks are off their menu for the eve. Most times they eat what I make. end of story. I am old school from day one. I am the mean mom.
But I think so far I did good with my first set of kids, finished college, married with excellent paying jobs, I think respecting food is part of respecting everthing we own and what is around us, but thats me. I was brought up with hardship, so my kids are tough to respect what they have, you never know when it will be gone and to love and give. For a gift to give is to fulfill the heart, too much greed in the world. It feels good to give, try giving a few things that you typically wouldnt give away sometimes, and see what it feels like. It will come back two fold at some point, I promise, it is his way!
