We have a rusty pot or wok, and no mater what we do the rust is always there after its washed and dried. We have oiled it but the rust is still under the oil. My question, is the rust bad for you?
I personally wouldn't use it....I dont think rust is a good thing...but on the other hand my mother in law uses her faithful rusty frying pan...and she's okay?...just my 2 cents...
What is this wok made of? Is it non stick or what? If it's cast iorn then you just need to re-season it but if it was non stick and has now got damage and rusted, I'd throw it out.
It is a thick metal / tin. Its not cast Iron. at one time it had a Teflon coating on it, but that has been long gone. I think it would be best to throw it out and get a new one?
