How to stop my ducks from flying away

Ducks are very good at reducing mosquito population. Wild ducks raised at home are tame but fly away. I never clip bird wings because I love to see them free and flying. To prevent flying away, I figured out a way, which other people can use. I tied a big 1-inch metal ring, like a metal washer with a zip tie on one of the wings shoulders, close to the body. This. way, they can fly low and fall down, as having one wing impairment they can't equilibrate and no longer adventure into flying above the house.
 
Wow💜🌻 they are so beautiful. But i don't think i have ever seen a duck like that before. They resembles a mallard duck family.

Its supper beautiful to watch and understand why sometimes birds take it into the air. Mybe to play, or stretch the wings, oh mybe migrating.
But clipping the wings of any bird gives them a great danger to any predator...
