Recently got an all metal book bin from an auction our library held. I want to convert it into a feed storage unit and auto feeder. I have plenty of scrap metal around for fabricating. I'm thinking something along the lines of a treadle type set up but can't quite flesh it out. Pics attached show the pre-fab slot at bottom of bin, and I will be taking out the springs & tray inside. Was thinking maybe those springs could be used in the design? All advice welcomed. Thanks!
