This is my wyandotte when she was young. The chick has a comb like hers.

I looked closer at my chick's comb and it doesn't look like a rose comb to me. Is it possible that maybe one of the parents is not a pure bred? The columbian I got from Mcmurray and the orpington I got from Craig's list, so maybe he is not what they said? You can see a pic of him on my profile pic.

Hatchery Wyandottes sometimes carry a recessive single comb gene.

Hmmm, so maybe the sex link thing didn't work either. I just don't see anything about this chicken that looks like a roo. I guess time will tell!

Sorry to bring this up after so many years but I have a very similar looking bird and can't sex her either. What did this end up being?
