I have two hens, one hen injured the other resulting in a lost eye and injured shoulder/wing. I have nursed hen for about 2 weeks now and she is much better. She is adjusting to having one eye and now has started wanting to be outside and walking around. However, she is not eating on her own. I have been feeding her but she is not receptive to that anymore. I need to get her to start pecking and scratching and eating her food again. Help!

Try some live mealworms....no hen can resist those. Put "Mealworms" in the search bar and you can read about how to grow your own. Your chickens will thank you for it.

I've always had good luck with sick birds with a mixture of the following. Their regular Pellets with hot water poured over in a strainer to soften but served when cooled to warm. To that I add a sprinkle of any or all of the following.
Scrambled eggs
Rolled oats
Scratch mix

I have also added diced watermelon over the top to get one particularly sick bird started.

If you get her eating that you could start adding some not softened pellets in a few days and increase amount until she is just eating them dry again.
