walk in coop and sand

So verdict back... the company will void my warranty if I lay down any type of flooring because of the risk of mold and moisture especially any types of vinyl and linoleum. They said I should have no problem with a good few inches of sand. Just wont have the super easy broom clean up but oh well, I do have a *huge* shop vac. I also don't plan on ever getting the floor wet as food and water will be outside. So I suppose that answers my should I lay a flooring on top of the wood first question.

What does the warranty say about chicken poop? lol

Umm..... usually you don't 'broom' up chicken poop anyway....you can sift it out of the sand, like cleaning kitty litter.

I told them it would be for chickens and they said no problem in that aspect...

Yep, I plan on picking it up daily with a kitty scoop, I don't have that many birds at all. I just kept getting the answer from most that covering the floor only had the benefit of an easy clean up when I do a full deep clean. That's what I meant by that.
