What type of sand can I use in a coop?

Are they good with drainage? Is it something I would have to add too often?
You don't have to change them very often depending on the rain amounts and the chicken amounts. The more chickens and rain, the more often you have to clean it. But pine shavings are good with drainage and you don't have to change them often even if you have a ton of chickens. I use them in my coop.

I’m debating on starting to put sand in my coop instead of using the dirt floor due to how muddy it gets. I am curious to what type of sand I should use?
Thanks for the help.
Use Torpedo sand aka Turbosand which is named River bed sand at the rock/paver place near me. It's a larger grit and you'll probably have to shovel bags yourself and weigh your truck/car before and after. I'd take care of the drainage problem first by removing some of the soil and using a level to create a grade towards a buried pipe or something like that.
