Hi there,

I am pretty new to the whole incubation/hatching thing.

We have been trying to hatch duck eggs from our ducks (born in March/April.) Our ducklings cannot seem to pip the shells, and we have already lost several (well, all really, with the exception of the one we are trying to assist right now) already due to this.

Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to thin out the shells before they try and hatch? Does misting help with this? Any advice?

Is it humid in the incubator because the eggs need humanity to hatch. Once my duckling wasn't hatching so I listened to where he is tapping and I clacked it with something and pealed of the egg shells and took of the air space and let him breath and made shure that one of his feet where out and put him in the incubator and he pushed himself out
