Hi all, today I noticed these black little spots on my EE rooster. Do they look like fowl pox or just peck marks? They're just on his comb, none around his eyes. Any help would be much appreciated

Even upon enlarging your pictures, I can't get a really good look at the injuries, but they appear to be peck marks. Keep an eye on things if it is fowl pox, they will enlarge and become more 'crusty'[. He is a beauty.

I have a roo who's comb looks like the fowl pox. So what do I do?

Fowl pox is a virus spread by mosquitoes. It can be minor or serious depending on the strain, and how many scabs or lesions there are. Dry pox usually lasts about 2-3 weeks without any eye or secondary infections. Wet pox which can include lesions in the throat, airway, and esophagus, can be very serious. There is no treatment, but any affected eyes should be treated with antibiotic ointment or Vetericyn eye wash to help prevent eye infections and blindness.
