Needing help and advice! Pullet had soft shell egg break inside her!

It's up to you. there would be a period of throwing out eggs for a certain period after antibiotics. They may or may not help to prevent egg peritonitis. Penicillin dosage is 1/4 ml given into the breast muscle 1/4 inch once a day for 4 days. Use a 20 gauge needle and a 3ml syringe.Enrofloxacin dosage is easily found with a search at the top of this page.

If you see a shell membrane hanging from her vent, you can gently pull it out. I suggest a vinegar or saline flush. Add a teaspoon of vinegar into 250 ml of clear water and flush her vent out with a sterile needless syringe. Repeat a few times, like 2 times a day for a few days. The vinegar solution will most likely stay inside the hen for some time, so don't worry, it will get out when she poops.

Monitor her closel. Feel her abdomen every day before sleeping and check of its hot, swollen or hard.

Im pretty sure it's nothing to worry about. Egg like these are common when a hen is unexperienced
