@Hawk12
  can we get an update please!

BJ update on your roo as well please!

Venymae! how is the hatch???

Pete any pips!

Here's seems to be healing well but there was an attack on 3 others last night. Really sad. We had to cull 1. I put them all back in the nursery area where there is total seclusion from the adult birds. I had moved them to an area where there is partial integration, just like I've done in the past but this time didn't go well. I'll have to do something different from now on. My adult birds are lucky to be alive right now, I've gone through a lot to have these brahma babies. All of my adult birds are hatchery babies and are easily replaceable if they are going to be mean like that. I've watched them all fight for their in the pecking order but never to the point of blood :(

@Ur-ur-ur-urrr and @shahtir101, yes they are Ayam Cemani's.

@Sally Sunshine, babies hatching!!!!!

My next hatch is the replacement BCM's from the disaster we had on their 4 week old brethren. And then some to start replacing/additions to the stock in the free range layers. This hatch is due Jan 15th.
Those AC's should help pad the old wallet until the BCM's come online. What do you get for yor AC's?

Quote: Unusual, but I wouldn't worry about it if it's, eating, drinking, acting 100% normal and gaining the same amount of weight as it's clutch-mates. If it starts getting bigger, post more pictures.

It almost reminds me of the egg tooth I still am stumped @Saris @casportpony

Back to normal I believe. Thanks!
glad to read this fire!

Yes , I was a bit busy lately , and the Forum wase too hectic for me . Lots and lots of mixed themes ! My chickens began to lay the week and I am hoping to restart getting my eggs!
I would recommend you to deworme them now, so you will not loose to much eggs in the withdrawal period!

they are really cool though!

You cant see always in naked eye! You should use microscope, as i do, you should do fecal tests as I do, believe me your chickens have worms! And they also have Coccidia, and they have parasite called Flagellate, and I am taking a risk here they also have the MDV that causes Marek disease, and they do have worms!
The issue is, was and always will be equilibrium! If you have happy, well fed, well provide chicken, that dont have a lot of stress causing reason you chicken will do fine! But if the stress load is high, like in winter time, the stress hormones, like Cortisol start to kick in, and the first thing the do is to suppress the immune system and in a blink of an eye you will fined yourself with a big problem! Problem that you could avoid by making some preventive steps, like worming your chickens!
And I don't see any connection between a dewormer that kills wormes that are Eukaryotes and the microflora of the chicken that is Prokaryotes!

So far, so good! Some of those shells are hard enough to give me a bruise, but I haven't had a messy face in the seventeen or eighteen years I've been doing it.
I thought you were kidding me, can we get a video of this procedure please?

Ahhhhh, the smell of money...........
