I'm sure the USPS doesn't care that I'm obsessively checking tracking info on my eggs. I would love an update. They left Tampa last night. They must be somewhere in the path of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. I just want to know an approximate spot. I can't wait until Friday!!!

I feel for ya getting eggs shipped, I been checking since yesterday when ordered a wafer stat, wanna get the cooler bator done before hit lock down. doesn't matter just set the eggs at 2 am this morning. Son says I am getting obsessive with hatching, we need to start a hatchers anon.

well what else is a girl supposed to do when can't sleep , has eggs and the incubator is empty?

at least the part will be here for the cooler bator and will have time to get that made just gotta go into town as Dad is gonna help me build it, he knows how to run the power tools and build things, didn't wanna have to do it manually lol

Well nature loves a vacuum or something like that

Have you already cut the lid was that your coolerbator I saw a few hundred pages ago

Hi everyone! I watched the video of the impacted crop surgery....gross is an understatement. It looked like hay/straw she was pulling out. I have always used wood chips in with my baby chicks, but when I move them outside, I just started to use straw. I have now read that impacted crop is somewhat common with straw. Should i not use it with the 8 -12 week ones? What does everyone here use?
I use straw from day one. Never had a problem. I use it in the brooder and the houses.
