I'm waiting for an email response on a Marans from Craigslist and it is killing me

Well got 12 out of 18. 8 Marans and 4 Wheaten Ameraucanas. Worse hatch ever but not worrying about it. These eggs came from a friend. He said some might be old, some may have frozen over night. Don't think he stores them very well either. So all good. These were for him.

Ok, so, Bubba is gone, but I am still seeing fertile eggs when I open them to cook! How long will my hens stay fertile? I think I will set more! I do have 4 more in, but there are some from one hen that I didn't get any of. I want some of them, opened one of hers from yesterday..fertile!

Farm emergency! Went out to feed the rabbits and the doe had a baby in there. But it was frozen. No nesting box because the stupid people I got them from never told me she was breed. Had to do a quick fix and put a cardboard box in there for her.

See this is the reason I don't like to deal with people that have a few rabbits and think they are a farmer or breeder. In reality they don't have a dam clue about anything. Man this makes me madd.

Up to 4 pips. Of course they are taking FOREVER to progress. I hear chirping so I know they are ok

Good evening all. I opened the rest of my eggs...no live ones. I have a question about the membrane that "shrinkwraps" the eggs.... is it the white film here?

Or the thinner one on this one?
looks mal?

Well, it is time to stock the fire and go to bed.
Here is a photo from candeling. fertility was down, but given how sick my head rooster was the week before I am glad to have 48 going strong.
Night all

DAY WHAT????

Hey everyone sorry haven't had time to get on and post for a couple of days but heres an update on the 23 eggs I put in the incubator on Feb. 3rd

Don't die laughing first time for everything, didn't get candled at all until almost day 7 lol. Not sure what is going on but yesterday temp dropped to 93 and had to put incubator up to 100 just to get it to 95. Humidity is running 27-34 consistently

6 are questionable
1 clear
19 looking good

Alright, it's been three hours with no progress for the partially zipped chick - and membrane is turning slightly yellow. I'm going to try to help a little bit, carefully.

The others that are wrong end pips have been externally pipped for about 12 hours now. Two seem to be making progress, one keeps pipping at the same spot, so I may try slow assist after trying to help the zippy chick.

@Sally Sunshine yes, thank you, I found the links and I feel like we've tried everything. She hasn't pooped since she had shaved, obviously there are a lot of things wrong. She also hasn't gone on her own. I'm sick to my stomach to think I have to cull her. What do you think is the best way? I definitely think she is suffering.

Sounds like it's time to intervene. Try removing some shell around the pip/zip area without tearing the inner membrane. Use a Q-tip to dampen the membrane to make sure there aren't any veins, and if not you can tear the membrane a little so you can see inside the egg. Check to make sure it's not shrink-wrapped or stuck to the membrane. If either of these, you'll have to belp it out. If everything looks normal, let it come out on it's own. Do the same for the malpos...
