The poor pullet is getting stronger, but I never did get her leg splinted right. Not sure what the outcome will be yet. Duckling was happy to hold her, but decided she needed to be put back in her tote. I was going to hold her a while, but I couldn't tell Duckling she was wrong for doing something that is usually right!

The other 8-week-olds are now free ranging alongside of the adults. They don't go quite as far, but they are all together for most of the time.

It seems I am missing one 8-wk-old. Either it is hiding in the group when I'm counting, or it got out one of the times that I opened the storage room door, and never made it back. The adults do not go into the storage room, but the babies occasionally do find their way in there.

Thanks. You hatching now ?
Like MC said more Ancona ducks

Chaos is right (don't faint!) that 16 large fowl chickens will be happy.

My one and only silkie chick from the Easter HAL died last night. I think it died because when it hatched, it's bum hole was inside out and that caused it to get poopy butt all the time.
Sweet bator news. Sorry bout the chickie.

Yup... In a couple hours. Didn't sleep again
Oh if that was my only problem Kathy I'd have it made...

Good night my Canadian friend.

Morning Phil. Good luck hittin' the fishes.

Soooo does anybody have a rating for my pet chickens hatch rates
Hatch rate's vary greatly on shipped eggs. They have great fertility and if the person incubating does a good job you "should" get a decent hatch.

You can advise anything you want! You seem sane!
