INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

Hi, I have duck eggs in my incubator and today is day 27. I candled one yesterday as I was concerned that it may have been 48 hours since one internally pipped as the first photo was from day 24 , the others were from last night. When I candled it, it was still moving around inside the shell and I could hear a faint tapping noise. I haven't seen any of the eggs move inside the bator for the entire duration and I haven't heard any noises whilst they have been inside there. Should I be worrying?

See the duck section in the notes to help keep your mind off them there are some good reads there! May help ease your mind and get you to under stand things better, also THE DAY 18 or Hatching section there, it helps to know what goes on inside.

I can tell you not to worry, but that won't make you stop. So, I can remind you that worry does no good ( says the woman that is panicking in her head about something.

). And tell you that we all understand. But it really is about 48 hours too soon to be concerned about it.

You can read the whole thread. It will give you something to do.
yeppers!!! good post!

I have to say, I think it is pretty cool having the doves around. Did I post the picture of Duckling almost catching one yesterday? Apparently the way they were sitting at her feet was too much to bear, and she tried catching them. They didn't fly off, just kind of fluttered up, and landed again.
A few minutes ago I witnessed two mating. I think that is pretty darn cool that I can say that.

In chicken news, one of my SPR cockerels is so far beyond SOP, he doesn't just have brown bleeding through, he has green. He is certain to be processed.

Did the other SPR hatch yet?

Oh okay. I couldn't remember when you set them and though day 18 was a couple days ago. Speaking of processing extra cockerels I need to do that too.

If I don't get the turkey pen done, I will make the poult and extra cockerels live in the duck pen. I want to fatten them up, and that turkey needs to start now if I am going to get any use out of it this year.
