Well folks, here is the first egg.....99% sure it from one of the Barred Rocks.
I built 'em a nice Hen house, with 3 nice nesting boxes, Saturday, I opened them up, laid in some nice straw for a nest, dropped in a few ceramic eggs for training aids, and she laid it outside, in the dirt, inside a shell from a filing cabinet I had used for the water cooler. I just hadn't gotten around to moving it yet. Sounds about right tho, but I am very proud of my girl....which ever one she may be ;-)
 
well heck....another pullet egg today....they keep up like this, pretty soon I'll have enough for an omelet ;-)
 
How things are going? thanks for your post. I'm following your approach here in Benson AZ. Any changes in the COOP?
 
Was good to revisit this one.
Doesn't look like OP have been active here since their last post in this thread.
