I have a 5 month old hen with feathered feet (not sure if she's a Bantam Cochin or a Brahma or some mix) Since the feathers on her feet were getting too big I trimmed them and since then, my RIR bites her feet and bleed. Even when they bleed she continues biting. Should I cut of file her beak flat?? So far I have isolated her from the rest.
Please help:)

I don't think you are supposed to trim their feet feathers. Also blood will only cause the chickens to peck more. I don't think their beaks should be filed ever. Even if you did file the RIR beak the chicken with the blood on it will eventually peck at itself. There is something you can put on the feet to hide the blood to give the feathers a chance to grow back, but don't know what it's called. Once the feathers grow back I would suggest not cutting them again.
