Lost White Mascovy at VT Elementary School

St.Johnsbury, VT
This little girl was found hanging by the St. Johnsbury, Vt public school all day yesterday. She is well fed and not very skittish of people, however wouldn't let anyone get close enought to pick her up. With the help of some friends she is now safe in a rabbit cage at my house. If you know anything about this duck please contact me.
 
Pretty duck! I wish I was closer. I'd come pick her up and integrate her into our flock!!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to help her. And best of luck finding the owner or eventually a new and permenant home for her.

Have you posted in the Where Am I Where Are You forum? It is organized by location, so you might be able to find the person there.

There are also a couple of Muscovy threads here on the duck forum you might check in at.

If her wings aren't clipped she may have flown off from someones yard. or if there is a body of water around she could have been dumped there. Solid white Muscovy's I don't think would be the norm in a feral flock . She is lovely I hope you can find her owners or a real good safe home for her. I'd def clip her one wing though before letting her out to roam around your yard.Once she settles in. @MightyDucksVT would you consider keeping her Muscovy's are very sweet ducks.
