Over any one but your Cochin hens he'll make nice meaty cockerels. The hens will probably be decent layers.

I'm thinking he has some buff Orpington in there, and probably some barred Rock. After that, who knows......
 
I like donrae's answer. cochins are not a productive breed for eggs or meat.

He is beautiful rooster- I love seeing barring on birds that aren't black. btw- a barred rock is actually a solid black chicken with barring added. Same with cuckoo marans.

He is a very hard one to guess as what mix he is.... it is the pea comb and clean(no feathers) white legs plus barring that is a pretty unique mix.

He will be fine to use over your hens.. or breed him over that big looking pullet in picture(standing in front of brick) next spring. He looks to be 'not pure' for barring, so expect half of the chicks to be barred and half not and also in both sexes.
