How old is the bird in question? Pullets are less effected by the onset of winter than hens, but many breeds are not prolific in the winter regardless if whether they are in their first or fourth laying cycle. Looks like "Gingernut Ranger" is simply a name used to market red sex links resulting from a RIRxLight Sussex - while that *should* result in a fairly hardy layer, it is no guarantee of winter production.

She is between 9 months to a year old, she's a hybrid who lays an egg normally 7 times a week, however haven't found any eggs since its been getting colder. It started getting colder about two weeks ago. She's also been eating well, seems really bright and
alert.
