I have a white rock that I got from the feed store. It is supposed to be from a credible hatchery and is guaranteed 99% to be a hen. However, it seems to be a rooster and is very aggressive. I am posting two photos. Anyone has a white rock before? The comb doesn't look red and there is no red wattle either. The feet are pretty large. Please help.

It is too young to be sure, but I am thinking pullet at this point. Often times the males are already developing large, red combs at this age.

I have him or her for 5 weeks so probably 6 to 7 weeks old. And yes photos were taken today.

I am hoping it's a pullet because there is no redness in the comb at all. Thanks for your quick feedback.

Boys at that age will have pink combs and pullets will have orange combs, can't tell by your picture because the color is off.

Thanks. I thought so too but it was so aggressive today when i placed it with some older chickens. So the comb size is normal at this age?

Being placed with older birds out of the blue can put any gender of chick on the defensive (which often looks like the offensive - a "get them before they get you" sort of take on the situation).
