When my wife picked up the chicks she bought the feed that they handed to her.

The brand is Country Acres Poultry Feed. There is no ingrediant panal or any indication what the nutrient breakdown is. I tried to look it up online and I can't find any info. This concerns me.

Anybody use this stuff? Is it good, bad or indifferent?

UPDATE: It appears I am about stupid, the bag did have a label sewn into the bottom of the bag. Now that I know where to look, it is 20% starter. D'oh!

I owned a feed store in years past and Country Acres was one of the brands I carried. It is Purina Mills more economical line of feeds and it is good feed. I use it whenever I get by the feed store that carries it because it's as good as some of the pricier stuff and I need to save what I can in this terrible economy. You won't have any problems with it at all.

I used Country Acres until just a few months ago and my birds did not do well on it. I much prefer Nutrina feeds as they have animal proteins, which are more natural for chickens, instead of soy proteins and they are doing much better.
