Button Quail Beginner

Thanks! I had read about their fruits and veggies, but not about finch seed or flax seed so I will pick some up! I already have a UVB bulb on their tank, just for light haha it's an extra that came with the tank,so that's an added plus that they will benefit from it.

I got them tonight and they have been boinking around the tank. I heard you could pad the lid with an old sheet, but with the UVB light I haven't done that.Their tank is 20in tall so hopefully they aren't bumping themselves too hard :/
 
I've had buttons in my room for the last 4 nights. They boinked around for the first 2, but I have a small lamp that emits a weak, purple light and I've turned that on for them. The first two nights, they boinked a bit despite the light, but they boinked less when it was turned on. Guess I'll try without the light again in a couple of days, see if they start boinking again. My cage is padded, by the way. About 22 inches high, I think.
