first hatch - are my air cells ok?

I always let them be, a pip doesn't mean ready to hatch, a chick with a pip will always still be digesting yolk. 24hrs after a pip you can consider helping, I still would not advise.
 

I had to go out of town right after x-mas on an emergency and thought I lost all me eggs due to hatch because my house got cold. This chick hatched though. "Hen Solo"
