Placing my First eggs in my incubator tomorrow! I am renting the Brinsea mini from a local farmer who does hatches in schools and whatnot, and have purchased 7(max capacity of incubator) heritage eggs!

I will be picking them up tomorrow and putting them into the incubator.

These will be my first chicks, and I am hoping for a relatively rooster-free crop, but we shall see!

Who is hatching with me?

I'm putting 36 in my new Hovabator right now, first try for me. Breeding experiments with hatchery White Rocks under Red Cornishes and New Hampshires.

It's been really cold, so I hope I got to the eggs soon enough out in the barn. I guess we'll find out in a week.

EHD: January 25th (I'm thinking!) And They're Gorgeous!
Those eggs are so pretty! I have 4 eggs due on the 21st. 2 are from my Red Ranger hen and 2 are from my Jungle Fowl hen. So far three of those eggs are looking good! I may have 1 infertile. I also set an egg yesterday by my bantam Crevecoeur so this one will be due to hatch on the 26th.

That's so great! I hope you got your eggs in in time

And they're due to hatch around the same time! Let me know how it goes. :)

What's the Red Ranger under? Curious about how second gen of those comes out!

Hope I'm not too late but I just put four eggs in my Yosoo incubator. It says it can hold up to 12, but I'm intimidated by the process so I'm starting small for my first time

I have a barred rock Roo, 3 BR hens and 4 sex link hens. I have not seen who is laying which eggs but I chose 4 that looked the same and that have been collected within the last 3 days. My eggs, that we have used, have all been fertile so I hope these do well. If these are sex link eggs, does anyone have an idea of the resulting chicks? Happy hatching y'all!

What color sex links do you have? Either way the chicks won't be sex linked and the majority if not all your chicks will be barred because of your rooster.

The farm I bought them from said red sex links but two of the have more black feathers with some brown around their necks. The other two are more Red/brown with black accents on their feathers.
