Hi. New to doves with one about to hatch


[COLOR=FF0000]Glad you have Maddox as a pet he may have a good run at life. Most breeders I know would have culled him before this. I would personally think twice before I would let the bird raise a family and pass on these genes. I would even go as far as separating his current parents to find a better match for a superior blood line. Especially if this problem continues in their next clutch of eggs.[/COLOR]

No chance of that. Maddox himself was a bit of an oops as his parents are actually both culls from a breeding program. In four years they never sat long enough to have an egg develop till I was babysitting (Murphy's law) so unlikely the parents will get to sit on real eggs again and I would never breed him. I didn't plan to have one pigeon, now I have two. Definatly stopping there lol
