When can I put my pullets in with the hens?

could you put something along side of the run as a temporary structure?

We could, or we could kick out the goat and take that section of the kennel for the pullets so the hens can see them and all Id have to do is build a roost for them to sleep in, which I could convert a dog kennel into one, cover it up and put some branches inside for them.

Shall see, I will work with the information that was given and utilize it as best as I can.

I'm in a similar situation as you jeeneh85. However I have only 1 layer and a dozen pullets that are 6 weeks.i tried introducing 1 pullets to my hen and she immediately came pecking. So what I did was cut a "doggy door" at the back of my hens shed & put chicken wire over it...then added a temporary run & coop for the pullets....that way my big hen will see and hear them for awhile. I figure about once a week I'll remove the screen from the "doggy door" and see how it goes....the once it's ok the pullets can mingle on in to the big permanent fenced area & shed.
