My husband and I are new to raising chickens. We just got 6 little chicks 2 days ago and I noticed 1 is acting very strange today. It's a 3 day old Ameracauna and seems very lethargic, eyes constantly closed, doesn't move around much, it's been doing this weird thing where it sits on its butt (feet out straight, tail tucked, back straight), I haven't seen it eat any food today at all, and its balance seems off. It's been mostly by itself all day while the others have been running around, eating, and acting normal. I don't know what happened! It was fine the first 2 days. I went to the feed store and got a chick probiotic that we mixed with water and force fed the chick. It got diarrhea twice after that and hasn't seemed to help at all. It's our favorite chick and I'm going to be SO SAD if it passes. Has anyone heard of this before? And if so, what can we do for the little guy??? I'm freaking out
