Breech babies.. (chicks).

I two chicks that were breech this hatching cycle. The heads were at the narrow end of the egg.

 

One did fine, one is touch and go and trying to get out now.

 

These are CLB eggs so it is hard to tell which end of the egg is the air sac, but I candle and mark the  air  sacs.    

 

I find it strange this is the first time I have seen the breech ( backwards)  chick in an egg..

Just like people it does happen on occasion.

Some days you just have to put on the hat and remind them who they are dealing with. Release the flying monkies!
