Ahhh.....Now I see...different 'animal' altogether than what I was thinking of, sorry bout that.
So the wind doesn't catch that stuff at all?
Maybe you just put it up and time will tell?
The extra material that forms the 'pocket' for the pipe on mine was a happy accident,
allows shade cloth to move with the wind so much less pressure on attachments.
It's worked well for a couple years now. We get pretty heavy gusty winds, but usually not sustained winds.
