so whats up with this?
i have some new chicks and they are about a month old now
whats up with the sleeping with their head hanging down?

kind of strange to bring up the camera that i have in there and to see this
this is NOT the first time
not sure if its the red sexlinks? or the Rhode island reds?
but might be all of them
STRANGE?
anyone seen this behavior ?

That's cute, my thought are they are too young to rest there heads on their backs comfortably. At that age they will usually pile on the floor, but instead yours are roosting.

It's perfectly normal. It sure doesn't look like it would be comfortable but many chicks like to sleep that way.

I had a few who would fall asleep while I was holding them and they would conk out in that position and look like they were dead. Dead to the world is more like it. I've noticed these chicks have pretty easy going temperaments as compared to some chicks who don't choose to sleep that way. But I've never run a study on it or anything.
