Air cell looks weird.

I'm very new to hatching eggs, in fact nothing has hatched yet, but I have 9 eggs under a broody (4 days along) and 19 in and incubator that are 9 days in. I can see active little squirmy embryos in all the incubating eggs, but one has a strange shaped air cell, it's more on the side than the stop and it's shaped like a triangle rather than a circle. I can see the chick and movement, so far it's still doing fine, but what causes this and is it possible for the chick to make it to hatch with this?

I think it's called a saddle cell. Or detached air cell. If it's moving when you move the egg it's detached. I don't know much about hatching these since I've never done it but Google those and see if you can tell which it is. I think there might be some assisting needed when hatching but from what I've read the chick can hatch with a air cell like that
 
I agree that you have a saddle shape air cell there. These usually occur when eggs have been shipped, the rough handling of eggs usually causes this.

The usual course of action when incubating these eggs in the incubator is to hatch them in cartons. As you have a broody hen I would just continue and let nature take its course.

I hatched shipped eggs and both that developed had the same sort of air cells. Both hatched fine but I did hatch them upright in the incubator. The hatching 101 thread does explain it I think.
 
Ok, thank you everyone! It doesn't move when the egg is rotated @annmarie33, so I don't think it's detached, just saddle shaped like you said. These eggs weren't shipped, came right from my backyard, HOWEVER my five year old son helps me gather them and it's possible this one got juggled around a bit just the same. I thankfully do have them upright in a carton in the incubator, so I'm thankful for that!
 
I have hatched "saddle shaped" air cell eggs before... Start a few days in the bator with them upright in a carton. They'll be fine
