room needed for 12 chickens

what size coop not including the run where there would roost or stray in . In bad weather dose a flock of 12 chickens need
 
Where are you located? How "bad" is the weather, and for how long?

Basic rule of thumb is a minimum of 4 square feet per bird. Prolonged confinement would require more space.
