I have three chicks 4 weeks they have wing and some tail fathers I'm it's in the 70's and 80's here I think it's time to put them in there section of the coup but my dad thinks we should wait another week.i want them out and use to where they will be living there r four 5 month old hens and one year old hen and a one year old rooster that they will b with of course the coup has sections I guess my question is when will the b ready to be out full time

At this time of year, gradually acclimatising your youngsters to the outside weather is probably best, but waiting another week won't hurt (unless they are driving you crazy).

I'll let experts in cold (to me at least) weather give further details as i live in Kenya and we don't do cold (or even mild) weather thanks goodness!

All the best

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. How cold does it get at night? If the temperatures are steady in the 70s or above you can do ahead and put them out, but don't try and mix them with your older birds until they are larger; and when you do integrate them into your flock, be sure that you introduce them slowly and carefully to the other chickens using the "look but don't touch" method. There is a good article at https://poultrykeeper.com/general-chickens/introducing-new-chickens/ explaining how to do it. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.
