Hello y'all! I had picked up this little guy from a mixed bin of bantam chicks at TSC a few months back, and he is now 9wks old today and I have no idea what he's supposed to be! Someone had suggested that he'll turn out to be a BB red old English game and another a silver duckwing- problem is, he's a roo (his pitiful crow is a constant source of amusement) and the roos for both of these breeds look very different than him. Any ideas on what Chicken Little might be?

He is a Silver Duckwing Old English Game bantam with a lot of leakage. I had one that was very similar to him in the chest. His hackles and saddle isn’t as white as mine, but he's still adorable. You'll never be able to show him as he's far from show quality. (For that reason I don't recommend breeding him either.)

I think he is a sliver duckwing OEGB. He just doesn't have his adult plumage yet. And remember, there is always going to be some variability in any breed/variety, especially with hatchery chicks.

Thanks y'all for your responses! Good to know- he's an absolute sweetheart 💕

I don't plan to show him, as he was gotten as a companion bird. Though, even if I wanted to breed him, I'm not sure I could.... he's half the size of our silke! :lau
