I have a 7 year old rhode island red and she is blind all a sudden! No injuries or sickness. Will eat grass,but no feed or scratch...probably because she cant find(see) the feed bowl. She walks slow and carefully and runs into things. Its only day 2,so is there any reason for this blindness all of a sudden? Can this be fixed? Is this a sign of old age? Can the vet help her? Anybody?
 
Yes,after a long struggle with the ramp,she finally just jumped to the top of the ramp,I guess because she cant see to walk up it.Is there a pill or something to help her immune system? Maybe its a disease?
 
Rose, my 4 yr old Red Star has suddenly become blind. Yesterday I think she could see a little, today she is totally blind. Does anyone have any suggestions how to help her. She ate a little yesterday, today I only managed to get maybe a Tbls of her food mixed with yogurt down her. Her eyes look fine, comb bright red, she looks healthy.
